Classes

The web page for the Marblehead Club provides some details about adult coaching at the Marblehead Community Center in Marblehead, MA. Adult coaching also takes place at the Maugus Club in Wellesley, MA.

The Gut 'N Feathers Club in Marblehead, MA has youth badminton classes. These are sometimes intertwined with the Marblehead Community Center classes to make a fairly full schedule. The whole program is administered by the Marblehead Youth Badminton (MYB), formerly known as the Northshore Junior Badminton Association (NJBA) and is coached by Melinda Keszthelyi (email: melus@comcast.net and cell phone: 617-838-3923). The current MYB president is Dee Colcord (email: DAColcord@aol.com, home phone: 781-639-3456, cell phone: 781-910-2792). Melinda and Dee are the best sources of information about all the youth program options in Marblehead.

Also, Thomas Yang (email: ) runs a youth program at Acton Junior High School. The next one is on eight Tuesdays beginning 7-Oct-08 5:50 - 6:50 p.m.

Stella Wei is teaching youth an introductory badminton class for students in grades 4-8 at the Dallin Elementary School in Arlington, MA from 6-7 p.m. on Thursdays from 31-Jan-08 through 27-Mar-08, skipping 21-Feb-08. The course runs 8 weeks at a cost of $62. Birds are provided and racquets are available for purchase. Click here to see the flyer.
