Cape Cod, MA Scrabble® Clubs

As of May, 2002, there are two active clubs on Cape Cod: a club in West Yarmouth which meets mid-day every Wednesday and a club in Hyannis which meets in the evening on the first Thursday of every month. Both of these are described here.

The Yarmouth Scrabble® Club

This club meets at 11:00 a.m. every Wednesday at the Yarmouth Senior Center, 528 Forest Road, West Yarmouth, MA. The phone number at the center is 508-790-3480. You are advised to bring your own lunch. West Yarmouth is located approximately mid-Cape.

This club is open to all ages, and all playing levels are welcome. Although this club meets at a senior center, the center is merely providing space for the club - it is not a seniors-only activity.

Directions to the club:

• Take Route 6 to Exit 8, towards Route 28 and South Yarmouth.
  
• On Station Ave. (also called Union), go about a mile to the second light.
  
• Go right onto Old Townhouse Rd. at a gas station.
  
• Go 1/2 mile, and go left onto Forest Rd.
  
• Proceed for 1/4 mile, and the Senior
• Center is on the left, visible from the main entrance in front.

The Hyannis Scrabble® Club

This club meets at Borders Books in Hyannis the first Thursday of each month starting at 6 p.m. For more information, call Kyle at 508-255-7281.

Directions to the club from Route 28:

• From Route 28 in Hyannis, go up Route 132 about one mile, passing the Cape Cod Mall on your left.
  
• Borders Books is on the right, standing alone near a tiny mall.
  
• The club meets in the food court area.

Directions to the club from Route 6:

• From Route 6, take Exit 6, Route 132 toward Hyannis.
  
• Go about 3 miles, and Borders Books is on the left.
  
• Go past it, and take the next left into the mall.
  
• Take the next two lefts. This is before the Cape Cod Mall.
  
• The club meets in the food court area.
