Directions to the Club from the South by Car

Let's say you are heading North on Route 128, also the same as I-95, towards Lexington, which is West of Boston. This is how you get to the Lexington SCRABBLE® Club. There are two possibilities: you can go a bit further with simpler directions, else you can probably save five minutes with the suggested directions.

Simpler but Longer Directions

  1. Take Exit 31A for "Lexington, 4 South and 225 East".
  2. From the end of the exit ramp, you will stay on this road, which is Bedford St., for 1.6 miles until you arrive at the edge of the Lexington Green. Along the way, you will pass a few traffic lights, the last one of which is at 1.4 miles.
  3. Just before the green, turn right onto Harrington Road. The Minuteman statue is at the far end of the green.
  4. Proceed past a couple of houses and the then the white whurch where you are headed. Turn right into the church "in" driveway. Park behind the church, and then enter via the rear door. Later when you leave, use the other driveway to exit.

Shorter Suggested Directions

  1. Take Exit 30 off Route 128. Then take Exit 30A immediately in the exit ramp to "E. Lexington".
  2. From the end of that ramp, you will be on Route 2A for only 0.2 miles. Just as the road curves to the right, make a sharp left onto School Street. This is before you come to the Shell station further on your left.
  3. Take School Street to the end, which is just less than 1/2 a mile.
  4. Turn right onto Mass Ave., but that name may not be visible at that corner.
  5. Drive on Mass Ave. for almost 1 mile; you pass a signal at 0.7 miles. You come upon a fork as you approach Lexington Green. Take the left fork, where there is a diamond-shaped yellow sign with 9 black dots in the middle of the fork.
  6. Pass one house on your left, and then turn left into the church "in" driveway. Park behind the church and then enter via the rear door. Later when you leave, use the other driveway to exit.
