Acton, MA Badminton Club

This club plays at the Acton Junior High School gym, and here is the current session:

Initially, you may sign up (done ONLY ONLINE) starting 7-Sep-17 for only one of the two sessions; then on and after 11-Sep-17, you may sign up for the other session on a space availability basis. You may then register by phone The cost for each session is $119, and seniors are $10 less.

You can register online at or print a registration form and mail it in or call 978-266-2525.

Although the Friday hours are usually from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., during the winter season, the hours are shifted to 8 to 10 p.m. On a Monday or Friday when there is no school, there is no play.

As of the summer of 2011, this club is playing year-round.

There are six courts, and the school allows a maximum enrollment of 24 players on a first come first served basis. Four courts of the six courts have no obstructions and are suitable for doubles games. The other two courts are for warmup and practice only, since they do have some obstructions. Beginners are welcome and can get some basic coaching advice.

The group is organized as part of the Acton Community Education program. You must sign up through them at 978-266-2525 (Fax: 978-266-2540) in advance. The cost is about $10 per evening of play for a multi-week (perhaps 7 to 10) session.

There are also badminton classes for youths in Acton, and these are described here on this website's page for Classes and Coaching.
